Schutzhund / IPO
The Sport That Proves the Dog
IPO (Internationale Prüfungsordnung), also known as Schutzhund, is a three-phase working dog sport: tracking, obedience, and protection. A dog that earns an IPO3 title has demonstrated elite-level performance in all three phases under a certified judge. It is the gold standard for evaluating working German Shepherds.
Tracking
The dog follows a scent trail laid by a stranger, indicating articles along the way. Tests nose work, focus, and endurance.
Obedience
Heeling, retrieves, jumps, and send-aways performed with precision. Tests the dog's drive, control, and handler bond.
Protection
Search, hold, bark, and apprehension exercises. Tests courage, full grips, and the ability to disengage on command.

Missouri
We are located in the Missouri. Visits are by appointment only. We do not allow unannounced visits. Buyers are welcome to visit and meet the dogs before committing to a puppy.
